Death in Ireland May you Die in Ireland
Edited by Aodán Mac Póilin and Róise Ní Bhaoill
This collection contains seven stories from some of the most famous Irish language short story writers in modern Irish literature; Liam Ó Flaithearta, Pádraic Ó Conaire, Séamus Ó Grianna, Seosamh Mac Grianna and Daithi Ó Muirí. The parallel English text will help the reader to practice and develop his language skills without constantly referring to the dictionary. The glossary at the end of the book will be helpful for the use of language or non – standard versions of words. This collection will be suitable for the learner, and for those who are interested in literature and would like to increase their understanding of the work of Modern Irish writers. As they approach death – the theme of the collection – the authors explore a wide range of emotions, from melancholy to coldness to humor itself. (Ulster)
